Paying Your Rent
We aim to set rents and service charges as low as possible whilst making sure we have enough money coming in to provide a good standard of service.
You can ask for more information on how our rents and service charges are set. You will be sent four rent statements each year – in April, July, October and January, which will provide details of all rental payments that have been made on your account.
You can request a statement of your rent at anytime.
When to pay your Rent
Rent is payable in advance and should be made on the Monday or on the 1st of each month. However, you can make fortnightly, 4 weekly or calendar monthly payments, provided payments are made in advance.
What happens if I do not keep to the payments?
If you do not pay the amount owing on the due date, you will get into arrears with your rent, and you will be in breach of your Tenancy Agreement. The Association will be entitled to take you to court, and this may result in you being evicted from your home. You will still have to pay the rent arrears and you will also have to pay court costs to the Association. However, if you are having problems paying your rent, please contact us immediately. We also need to know if you are expecting problems such as change in your income. We may be able to give advice and information, which may help you.
Please ask if you require further information on our Rent Arrears Policy.
