Success For Working Group

The Tenant Participation Working Group received fantastic news recently when they heard that the Tenant Participation Strategy and Action Plan that they had developed for the Association was one of the best in the country. The Welsh Assembly Government had commissioned TPAS Cymru to assess all Local Tenant Participation Strategies (LTPS) from all Housing Associations and Local Authorities across Wales (60 in total) during the summer months. The Strategy and Action Plan was rated with the following scores, 1= good, 2= satisfactory and 3 = poor. Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd scored the following:

The overall scores throughout Wales ranged from 28 – 78, the lowest score being the best and the medium therefore being 49. Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd scored 32 and have been told by the assessors that it was one of the best strategies to be assessed and a request has been made to use our strategy as best practice for others to use. Congratulations to all the Working Group for their efforts and this clearly highlights that Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd put their tenants right at the top of the agenda.
