Community Development and Tenant Participation Workshop
One of the recommendations following the Best Value Review of the Community Development department was to try and establish a Community Development and Participation Working Group which would consist of tenants, board members and staff from various departments within the association. In January 2008, a questionnaire was sent out to all tenants to see if they would be interested in putting their name forward for the group. The response was fantastic and the first Working Group meeting was held in February. The team will provide a report of all it’s activities and projects to the group on a regular basis. At present the members are following a training course led by TPAS Cymru to assist with putting together a local participation policy for the association.
The members of the group are as follows: 5 tenants, 3 members of the board (2 of which are tenants), and 6 members of staff representing different departments within the association.
