This scheme was launched in March 2006 with the opening of a new Information Centre for young people in a shop on the main street of Rhuddlan. The aim of the project is to tackle anti social behaviour within the town. The community donated some money and three computers towards the scheme. The centre's objective is to equip young people with practical real life skills that will enable them to be more responsible adults who will become a vital part of their communities. The shop allows the young people to meet the staff without being judged and they are offered support. The other partners who were involved in the enterprise are the Youth Department of Denbighshire Council, Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, Rhuddlan Towwn Council, North Wales Police and West Rhyl Young People's Scheme.

Rhuddlan Young Peoples Information Shop

The success of the shop during it's first year is obvious just by looking at how many young people visit the shop regularly. There is no doubt that this scheme is extremely important not only for the young people of Rhuddlan but for the town in general. We hope to that the financial support will allow us to continue for years to come.
